Sakshama Karnataka Conducted A Session On Corneal Blindness

Sakshama Karnataka conducted a session on Corneal Blindness and Eye donation awareness session at T.John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) as part of CAMBA campaign where more than 50 management institute students participated in the event and signed the demand letter to President of India requesting to declare eye as national asset supporting CAMBA campaign. TIMS Principal Dr. Bijoy Mishra appreciated SAKSHAMA’s mission of eradicating corneal blindness in India by 2020 through CAMBA campaign and extended his full cooperation for this campaign by providing opportunity to conduct few more such events including all institutions in the campus in future and possibilities of conducting eye checkup camps in nearby villages. Sri. Harikrishna Rai, SAKSHAMA Karnataka State Joint-Secretary was the resource speaker for this event who gave overview of SAKSHAMA and its various projects and gave corneal blindness root causes and myths and facts on eye donation and CAMBA campaign details. Prof. Sumanth from TIMS and Sri. Vikramji from SAKSHAMA coordinated this event.
